Signing Ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement between KDI Education JSC and Vinh University

On May 18, at Vinh University, KDI Education JSC and Vinh University officially signed a cooperation agreement.

Attending the ceremony on behalf of KDI Education JSC were Mr. Đặng Anh Mai – Chairman of the Board cum CEO; Mr. Lê Văn Chuẩn – Northern Business Director; Mr. Nguyễn Xuân Hoàng – Northern Academic Director; and Ms. Nguyễn Thị Hoa – Director of KDI Center in Nghe An. Representing Vinh University were Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Huy Bằng – Rector, along with leaders from various departments, the High School for Gifted Students, the Practice School of Pedagogy, the School of Education, and faculties of the University of Education.

STEM education is an integrated approach that combines interdisciplinary learning with practical application. Instead of teaching four subjects as separate and isolated entities, STEM merges them into a cohesive learning model based on real-world applications. Through this approach, students not only acquire scientific knowledge but also learn how to apply that knowledge in practice. At the general education level, STEM education both promotes learning in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and embodies an interdisciplinary approach that develops learners’ competencies and qualities. In the 2018 General Education Program, STEM education has been emphasized through the inclusion of core STEM subjects: Mathematics, Natural Science, Technology, and Informatics.

To develop teacher training programs integrated with STEM education and to introduce STEM education into the High School for Gifted Students, the Practice School of Pedagogy, and Vinh University, the University warmly welcomes cooperation with KDI Education – a leading STEM education company in Vietnam.

TOn the basis of voluntary, equal, mutually beneficial, and legal principles, Vinh University and KDI Education have agreed and signed a cooperation agreement with the following key contents:

Cooperation in developing and implementing teacher and student training programs on STEM education.
Supporting students from the University of Education, Vinh University, to participate in internships and teaching assistance at schools where KDI Education implements STEM programs.
Developing programs to support University of Education students who are recruited to work at KDI Education and its STEM education centers across provinces.
Collaborating in activities that promote STEM education in general schools.
Implementing other cooperation initiatives in line with the interests and functions of both parties.

Vinh University, formerly Vinh Pedagogical University, was established in 1959 and serves as a leading institution for high-quality human resource training, driving educational development in the North Central region. It is a hub for research and innovation, contributing to national and international development. The university is also one of the largest teacher training and professional development institutions in Vietnam.

KDI Education JSC, founded in 2017, is a pioneer in introducing STEM education to general schools through the Innovation Space model, with programs supported and advised by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. KDI Education currently offers a full STEM curriculum for grades 1–12, certified and accredited by the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences.
